give thanks...

...And I have a lot to give thanks for. This last week has brought a whirlwind of blessing to the McMaster household. A prayer answered that has dominoed into answering many other prayers. I'm overwhelmed with the love that my Heavenly Father has for me. I become emotional just thinking about it. I have poured out my gratitude with tears of joy as I have thanked my Heavenly Father for listening to someone like me...someone who doesn't always go to church, who doesn't always kneel by my bed and pray, who doesn't take the time to read my scriptures every night. Someone who doesn't feel worthy of that love. Yet I have had my prayers answered and my family has been blessed with the things that may not be important to someone else, but was essential to me. And for that, I have a lot to be thankful for.

With that said...I am thankful for a husband who loves me and understands my chaos. I am thankful for a son who needs me to fall asleep. I am thankful to parents who work hard for their kids. I am thankful for sisters who just listen when I need to vent. I am thankful for friends who make me laugh and lift my spirits. I am thankful for a house and the unimportant objects in that house that make it a home. I am thankful for a car of my own. I am thankful for a job to provide. I am thankful for the church, and I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who lets me know everyday that he loves me and is proud of me through the blessings I receive, and the beauty around me.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and find the little things to be thankful for.
